ARTHUR ASHE KIDS DAY: CARLY RAE JEPSEN LEADS FLASH MOB
Pretty much everything Carly Rae Jepsen does is cute, including leading an impromptu and likely unintentional flash mob during her Arthur Ashe Kids Day performance at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. on Saturday (Aug. 25.) There were even some famous folks in the middle of the flash mob, too!
Jepsen performed ‘Call Me Maybe,’ her mega smash of the summer, while wearing a tennis-style, white dress with white sneakers. She looked athletic and summery. CRJ was joined by a host of tennis players who showed off their other talent: dancing. Then, out of seemingly nowhere, the Wanted and Mindless Behavior hit the tennis court to dance their faces off, too. The magnetic pull and power of ‘Call Me Maybe’ cannot and will not be denied.
So it was not just any ol’ flash mob, but a star-studded one, as well!
The video of Jepsen’s song managing to rouse dozens of people to their feet in order to dance should be enough to get you dancing behind your computer monitor. It’s such an infectious song and really is the feel good (and much copied/parodied) hit of the summer.
Watching Jepsen bounce around in her cute little outfit gets us every time. When we think Summer 2012, we’ll think ‘Call Me Maybe.’
