ZENDAYA SIGNS TO HOLLYWOOD RECORDS
Congrats are in order for singer/actress Zendaya, who plays Rocky on the Disney Channel sitcom ‘Shake It Up.’ She has officially signed to Hollywood Records, which is the label homestead of many Disney teen stars.
Zendaya, who was born Zendaya Coleman and who will turn 16 on Sept. 1, shared a photo, where she is seen inking her name on the dotted line, via Mobli. She is surrounded by execs involved in her career and she is beyond stoked. Who could blame her? She just secured a recording contract with a major record label all before her Sweet 16. You go, girl!
She captioned the photo as such: “epic moment in my life…it’s official!!! HOLLYWOOD RECORDS!!!” Can you tell she is excited? From her beautiful smile in the pic to the plethora of exclamation points she used in her photo caption, it’s obvious she is super excited to be partnering with the label.
Overall, this is a massive career moment for the teen star, as it pretty much puts her on the cusp of superstardom. Hollywood Records has been home to the likes of the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and more. So she is in terrific company and is about to become a household name beyond the tween and teen set that loves her on the Disney Channel.
Congrats again, Zendaya!
