HEAR A SNIPPET OF WHITNEY HOUSTON’S ‘NEVER GIVE UP’

Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston may be gone, but her legacy will continue to shine forever. A 30-second snippet of the late pop icon’s song ‘Never Give Up’ recently surfaced online. The ballad will appear on the upcoming posthumous greatest-hits compilation ‘I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston.’
Produced by Jermaine Dupri and co-written by Bryan-Michael Cox and Johnta Austin, the song reportedly was recorded shortly before Whitney’s death in February. It’s an uplifting tune with a powerful message of never giving up no matter how difficult life can be sometimes.
It’s probably a message that Whitney has told her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, many times before her untimely death. In spite of reports that Kristina could be drinking herself to death, she insists that her faith will protect her and boyfriend Nick Gordon. “You couldn’t bring us down if you & an army tried. Were an army of our own. Blessed with #AmourofGod,” she recently tweeted. “We shall, we will, we are forever going to #Prosper!”
As for the greatest-hits album, the collection boasts original versions of Whitney’s chart-topping hits including “I Will Always Love You,’ ‘Saving All My Love For You,’ ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ and a remix of the R. Kelly-assisted ballad ‘I Look to You.’
‘I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston’ will be available in stores on Nov. 13.
