WATCH THE WANTED, FLO RIDA, CARLY RAE JEPSEN + CODY SIMPSON’S 2012 MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE PERFORMANCES

The WantedFlo RidaCarly Rae Jepsen and Cody Simpson made fans shriek at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade — and now that videos have hit the Web, we can enjoy them again with our leftover stuffing. It’s hard to tell what (or who) is more delicious!
The Wanted performed ‘I Found You’ on the Hess float, flanked by children dressed like traffic signs. Cute! Nathan Sykes seemed to be having the most fun out of the five blokes, dancing with the kids. Siva sat solo atop a bridge replica, while Jay McGuiness rocked a green beanie to match the petroleum giant’s logo.
Cody Simpson sang ‘Wish You Were Here’ on a Build-a-Bear float, which likely made his young fanbase squeal. How much cute can you fit on one small rolling parade piece?! Dancing in a velvet, navy blue peacoat, Simpson looked adorbs.
Flo Rida and a pink Skrillex-haired hook girl, Stacy Reign, performed ‘I Cry.’ It was chilly enough in the New York City November weather for Flo to not rip his shirt off, instead keeping on his sweater, scarf and fedora. He wears wintry temps well!
Jepsen saluted her native Canada in a subtle way on her float — with ice skaters! Her cohorts rocked hockey sticks and skates on an ice rink float. Rocking a cobalt coat, grey scarf and black Freddy Krueger-style hat, Jepsen presided from a perch above the float itself.
We should note that, as is customary for the parade, there was probably a lot of lip syncing involved in these performances — but that doesn’t mean the artists aren’t talented. It’s just how the show is usually run, because it’s tough enough to get quality audio outdoors from a steady stage, let alone moving ones, especially when it needs to translate to television!
