‘X FACTOR’ FINALISTS TO SIGN WITH SONY

Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Emblem3

It looks as though multiple ‘X Factor‘ contestants are walking away winners after all!
Country star Tate Stevens may have beaten out fan favorite Carly Rose Sonenclar as the second season winner of the FOX show, but Sonenclar, third-place finalists Fifth Harmony, and the all-male group Emblem3are reportedly set to ink record deals with Sony Music as well!
While the announcement of the deal won’t be made officially until 2013, it’s being said that the three, along with Stevens, will be signed to Syco Music, a record company that’s co-owned by ‘X Factor’ judge Simon Cowell and Sony Music. That label will then mesh with an even bigger Sony Music label (think Epic Records or Columbia Records) to promote each of the talent’s records.
Cowell is hoping that Fifth Harmony will blow up as an American all-girl group, and of course, everyone’s hot on Emblem3 given the success of another boy band currently blowing everyone out of the water, One Direction. “Epic and Columbia both want Emblem3,” revealed an insider. “L.A. Reid [chairman/CEO of Epic Records] is hot to sign Emblem3, but don’t count out [Columbia Records], because Columbia has One Direction. Syco has an interesting dilemma on which label to choose.”
And of course, Sonenclar is a hot commodity for Cowell, who hopes to keep her star shining as well. “With Carly Rose, Cowell wants to use a marketing strategy that was similarly used for ['America's Got Talent' 2010 finalist] Jackie Evancho, who’s been very successful for Syco,” said a source. “Carly’s first album will be more pop than Jackie’s music, which is is more operatic.”
Let’s just say there will be a lot of ‘X Factor’-related music coming our way in 2013!
