The orange carpet at the 2013 Kids Choice Awards (March 23) was teeming with celebs wearing slightly more casual outfits than they would don at normal awards show and events. But even though it wasn’t black tie formal, pop stars like Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Kesha still looked amazeballs, as did Austin Mahone and more.
The newly-single Perry showed up in a resort-style two piece with a bikini top, which provided support to Mary-Kate and Ashley (unlike her 2013 Grammys dress) and a pencil skirt. It was a totally Perry ensemble, which she coupled with thick, blue-back waves. She looked like a typical ‘California Gurl’ if there ever was one. So much for staying home and finding comfort at the bottom of a pint of Ben & Jerry’s to get over her recent split with John Mayer.
La Gomez wore a powdery blue top and beige skort-like bottom, showing off her gorgeous legs. It was a summery, sweet and sexy outfit all at once. It was definitely femme, but also perfectly casual. We could see any of her fans wearing this number.
Kesha and her little bro Louie Sebert suited up like Harry and Lloyd from the classic comedy ‘Dumb and Dumber.’ We love them in pastel blue and bright orange.
Teen idol Mahone rocked a varsity leather jacket, destroyed jeans and kicks, which is pretty much his standard issue uniform. No wonder the tweens and teens swoon.
Fergie, whose hubby and baby daddy Josh Duhamel was the show’s high energy host, looked cute in short, stretchy mini with marine life print. She’s preggers with her first child — rumored to be a boy — but she didn’t sacrifice any of her signature style. Kudos to Fergalicious for wearing bright green heels, even with a bun in the oven. She has some balance.
Former ‘iCarly’ star Miranda Cosgrove was fresh and ready for spring in her greenish frock.
Disney redhead Bella Thorne sparkled in her silvery mini and we totally fell in love with her hot pink heels.
Victoria Justice looked like she was ready to go on vacation on an island in her brightly patterned micro-mini.
