AVRIL LAVIGNE DEBUTS NEW SONG ’17′ LIVE + TALKS WEDDING PLANS [VIDEO]

Avril Lavigne performed at the Viper Room in Los Angeles last night (April 25), performing old favorites (‘Complicated,’ ‘Girlfriend’) and new tracks (‘Here’s to Never Growing Up‘). She also debuted a brand-new, never-before-heard song called ’17.’ Can you guess the subject matter?
“Just listen really carefully, because I know you haven’t heard this anywhere yet,” Lavigne advised. “I wrote this song about — duh — being 17, so that’s pretty much it. I hope I remember all the words!”
Lavigne paints vivid vignettes of young love: kissing her boyfriend in the parking lot of the record store where he works, hanging out in trailer parks.
Those days are long gone / But when I hear this song / It takes me there / We were on top of the world / Back when I was a young girl / We were living so wild and free / Acting stupid, all we needed was love / That’s the way it’s supposed to be / We were running red lights / We would go out all night / Didn’t care about anything,” she wails.
The song is poppy and was performed with an acoustic guitar; the bridge features an infectious “whoa-oh,” and the melody of the entire track is designed to get stuck in your head for days.
In an interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight Canada,’ Lavigne revealed that while she’s not preggers, she’s eager to walk down the aisle with her fiance, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Her album will be released in September, giving her time to get hitched in July or August of this year.
