WATCH MILEY CYRUS SURPRISE A MUSIC TEACHER WITH A NEW PIANO [VIDEO]

We hear a lot about how American schools continually need to battle for resources on behalf of their students, and few people would argue that we could do a better job of meeting those needs. That’s where theReal Change Project comes in — and with the help of an assortment of stars that includes Justin Bieber,Miley CyrusPitbull, and Jason Mraz, they’re helping make a difference.
The Project’s efforts are outlined in a televised special, ‘The Real Change Project: Artists for Education,’ which aired Tuesday (April 23). As we previously reported, the show combined performance footage and interviews with segments showing artists going back to their old schools; in the clip embedded above, you can see one of them, Miley Cyrus, make an appearance in a Nashville teacher’s classroom to unveil a new piano for the music program and deliver a live rendition of her hit ‘The Climb.’
Cyrus hangs out for what seems like quite awhile, leading the students through a discussion of why they love their teacher and applauding his pupil-assisted performance of Chicago‘s ‘Saturday in the Park.’ The kids, of course, were excited to see Miley — and judging from a lot of their faces during ‘The Climb,’ they know all the words to her biggest songs.
For Cyrus, it looked to be an enriching experience too. “School is where you find out how to be a good friend, and just what you want to be in life, and what inspires you,” she pointed out during an interview segment. “And teachers just have such a big part of what you’re going to be, even 20 years from now.”
