The devastating news of Cory Monteith‘s passing spread like wildfire after his body was discovered in a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday. Many of the late actor’s ‘Glee‘ co-stars took to Twitter to express the grief they are experiencing after such a sudden and tragic death of a young star.
‘Glee’ cast members like Harry Shum Jr., Damian McGinty, Mark Salling and more took to their social networks to express their great sadness after the death of their peer. With such an expansive cast, it was no surprise that anyone who came into contact with Cory Monteith had such kind words to say about the 31-year-old actor.
However, some of the show’s biggest stars like Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, Naya Rivera, Amber Riley andJane Lynch have yet to speak out about Cory’s untimely passing. We would assume that they will be issuing statements in the coming days, but we’re sure they are trying to come to terms with Monteith’s sudden death just like fans all over the world. Lea Michele, Cory’s girlfriend, has yet to personally address his death, but has asked for privacy during this “devastating time.”
‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison chose to bypass the typical tweet and dedicated a performance in New York City to Monteith, reportedly saying, “You guys came to see a show, I came to perform a show, so that’s what we’ll do. And we’ll do it in Cory’s honor.” He then sang ‘What I Did for Love’ in the actor’s honor.
Check out the outpouring of love from ‘Glee’ castmates below.
