ONE DIRECTION GET INDIVIDUAL BRITISH GQ COVERS, DISCUSS ‘NEW’ SOUND, CELEB CRUSHES + BISEXUALITY

One-Direction
The handsome young men of One Direction cover the August issue of the British edition of GQ, with each member getting his own cover. Collectible! The issues are on stands on Aug. 1. Weeeeeee!
What did the boys reveal in their feature? Well, they shared hints about the changing nature of the music on their next album, said to be due out later this year, and Niall Horan’s celeb crush.
First things first. The new album will have a bit more of a rock ‘n’ roll element! Horan said, “We don’t actually have a specific date for the new album, but on the road we will have more time to record and try things out. It’ll be a bit heavier. A bit rockier. A bit cooler.” Liam Payne chimed in: “Consider this a warning: This is a new sound.”
Oooh! A bit heavier? A bit rockier? A new sound? Directioners should be psyched.
They also shared the rules that govern life on the road, which is pretty much all the time for them.
“We haven’t been on the road long enough yet – ask me in a few months’ time,” Horan said. “All last year, we were touring in America so we were all under age, so we couldn’t really party then, anyway…We go back on the road straight after a show and we’re gone. I wish we did have time for girls and parties but we don’t.”

Payne also suggested that groupie talk is exaggerated, saying, “Groupies? We don’t have time to party! I’m not even single. This sort of talk will get me in trouble.”

Wow. The boys could have their pick of ANY girl they want and they don’t partake.
Horan did reveal his celeb crush and no, it’s not Demi Lovato. Hint: The crush is also British. “I’ll say one thing: Ellie Goulding – wow. She’s absolutely amazing looking,” he confessed. They’d be a cute couple – two British blondes.
Harry Styles’ rumored relationship with Nick Grimshaw, a British TV personality, came up, with the former flame of Taylor Swift shooting down rumors that he is bisexual.

“Bisexual? Me? I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure I’m not,” Styles said.
He takes the rumors in stride, saying, “Some of them are funny. Some of them are ridiculous. Some of them are annoying. I don’t want to be one of those people that complains about the rumors. I never like it when a celebrity goes on Twitter and says, ‘This isn’t true!’ It is what it is; I tend not to do that. The only time it gets really annoying is that if you get into a relationship and you get into a place where you really like someone and then things are being written in the papers that affect them and how they see you. Then it can get annoying.”
Hmm. Is that why his relationship with T. Swizzle quickly went south?
Louis Tomlinson had the most poignant thing to say about how he hopes 1D are remembered – as the boy band that didn’t dance.

LT also said that it’s not hard to stay faithful on the road despite loads of temptation. “The type of girls that would sleep with you in a heartbeat aren’t the type of girls I’d want to take home anyway,” he said.

Zayn Malik stated that he wants 1D to be remembered for changing pop culture.
Well, they are on their way to doing that!
