SCAMMERS CHARGED FOR CULLING $2 MILLION FROM FAKE LADY GAGA + RIHANNA CONCERTS

“And we almost got away with it too, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids,” is presumably what Vincent Carroll and Ray Annis said when they got busted for bilking more than $2 million out of concert promoters. Except the “meddling kid” in this case was Manhattan D.A., Cyrus R. Vance — not exactly the ‘Scooby Doo’ gang.
According to TMZ, it was discovered that Carroll and Annis pretended to represent high-profile clients likeLady GagaRihanna and Kesha and contacted promoters to put on concerts in Brazil, Mexico and Taiwan. The Manhattan D.A. has charged both men with a pair of felonies – grand larceny and scheming to defraud in the first degree. Vincent Carroll was also charged with criminal tax fraud.
Vance issued a statement saying, “These defendants are charged with selling concert promoters around the world a false bill of goods. Rihanna’s ‘Please Don’t Stop the Music’ could be an anthem for the legions of disappointed fans who heard about her concert in Brazil, only to learn that it had to be canceled before tickets even went on sale.”
Not cool, guys. Not cool! We’re glad they are getting what’s coming for them!
