Justin Bieber just crushed his performance at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.
The Biebs first took to the stage with his old faithful acoustic guitar and sang "Love Yourself" while wearing a leopard track jacket and backwards hat. It didn't sound like the usual version of his mega-hit, as he gave it a smokier, lounge-like sound. But then he ended it on a powerful note by throwing his guitar off to the side before launching into "Where R Ü Now?" with Diplo and Skrillex. In addition to the two EDM stars, two violinists and a cellist joined the performance. It didn't sound like the original, EDM-like version of the song, as Diplo and Skrillex played the drums and electric guitar, respectively, instead.
In true Bieber fashion, he eventually took off the leopard jacket and wore only a black oversized tank top and matching black pants before launching out into a dance sequence that was a bit awkward.
Bieber won his very first Grammy award earlier in the evening in the Best Dance Recording category for "Where R Ü Now," which was his first single off his most recent album, Purpose. It was the only category in which he received a nomination, and he was up against other artists such as Galantis and Kendrick Lamar.
But Bieber truly surprised us when he walked the red carpet before the awards show began and reminded us just how much he has changed since his very first Grammys appearance back in 2011. Aside from the obvious hair dye job, Bieber also stepped up his fashion game, trading in store-bought suits (not that there's anything wrong with that) for custom tuxes.
One thing's for sure—he has no need to say "Sorry."
