Fashion week is moving full steam ahead in London, and not just because Rihanna showed her River Island collection, which looked like RiRi fashions. Plenty of your favorite pop stars, like Lana Del Rey and members of One Direction, were out and about checking out the threads and the models.
1D’s Louis Tomlinson and his GF Eleanor Calder were at the Topshop show, along with Demi Lovato, who made a beeline, busted foot and all, from the L.A. Topman opening. We were wondering where Niall Horan is, since he and Lovato have been linked here and there in the press.
Supposedly, LT’s 1D mate Harry Styles was DJing a party, getting in on the Fashion Week fun. That’s probably more exciting for him, since we don’t think teenage boys, even fashionable ones like those who make up 1D, like looking at clothes all day long. Actually, they probably like looking at the girls in the clothes.
LDR hit up the Mulberry show, which does not shock us, since the house named one of its handbags after her. Her hair was darker and richer in hue, but that frosty brown lipstick she wore aged her. We loved her winged eyeliner, though.
Rita Ora, who epitomizes street chic, hit Burberry Prorsum, seated with actress Kate Beckinsale, her daughter Lily and actress Freida Pinto. Ora rocked white-blond locks and chalky lipstick; we didn’t even recognize her. She was a fashion conundrum here.
What’s up with the navy blue, old man suit and sensible shoes? She usually looks terrif, but not at Fashion Week of all places. We no likey, Rita! Those kicks look orthopedic.
The Saturdays hit up the Julien McDonald show as a unit, looking sexy and uniform in blacks and whites.
Saturday girls Mollie King and Frankie Sandford turned up at Moschino Cheap and Chic together, looking ready for Easter.
King was pretty in a floral frock and bright platforms at Felder and Felder.
